Tales from the M.U.T.E. Family a.k.a. Sky Climbers

This is a web site devoted to the work of the M.U.T.E. Family also known as the Sky Climbers. The family includes Hoodie, Bandit, and Ranger and features K.Do, MT, NM, MW...still working on those nicknames. Here you will find information about urban exploration in general and where these explorers have gone. Enjoy!

Urban Exploration is a hobby for numbers of people who enjoy adventure, thrill seeking, and exploration. It is comprised of the exploring of abandoned buildings and documenting the findings through pictures. We have been participating in Urban Exploration for years and still feel a rush as we enter into an abandoned hospital or asylum. This is not a hobby for the weak, but it is a lot of fun.

I go exploring because its a fun, cheap, way to get out
and hang out with friends. I like to see things that most
people don't see and aren't a part of. It's kind of an
adventure because you don't know what you're going to
experience because every place and every time you go is
always going to be different.

Urban Exploration takes a lot of focus, actually. When your adrenaline gets pumping and it's late at night and you're in a building for the first time, its easy to let your imagination run away with itself. I enjoy the challenge of keeping cool.
Another thing I love about U.E. is the history. Learning about the buildings and what they were like and the stories of why they were abandoned are usually worth checking out, too. That and I think it's just human nature to want to explore things.

-Hoodie

I go exploring because I love the rush. It's so much fun but so intense to go into a building that hasn't been used for decades. I also enjoy finding books and things intact, and have a strange interest in finding intact bathrooms. It's a great way to have fun.

I first went to The Hospital with the guys out of boredom, and it was pretty thrilling. I mainly went to hang with my boys, who were pretty intrigued by it. There are definitely some cool things to see in abandoned buildings. The stuff left behind almost tells stories of the people who once used the building, and also the people who explored it before. There are also some neat pictures to take. The thrill of being somewhere that few people have been in a while, and where people should not be going anymore, is pretty thrilling.
